Our ABA Approach
At Monarch Center for Developmental Services, we believe that every child learns best in an environment where they feel supported, understood, and empowered. That's why we offer both clinic-based and home-based ABA services, creating a personalized plan that meets each child and family where they are.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we work closely with families to find the right balance between home and clinic services. This flexible, hybrid model allows children to build meaningful skills across multiple environments while ensuring therapy fits naturally into family life.
Clinic-Based ABA
Our clinic setting provides children with opportunities to practice important developmental skills in a structured, supportive environment. Through guided play, peer interactions, group activities, and individualized instruction, children learn skills that help prepare them for success in preschool, kindergarten, and beyond.
Clinic-based services help children develop:
Social and peer interaction skills
Following routines and transitions
Communication and language skills
Group learning readiness
Independence and self-help skills
Emotional regulation and coping strategies
Home-Based ABA
Learning doesn't stop at the clinic. Our home-based services help children apply their skills in the environments where they spend most of their time.
Working directly within the home allows our therapists to support real-life routines, strengthen family involvement, and help children generalize newly learned skills to everyday situations.
Home-based services may focus on:
Daily living skills
Communication within the family
Behavior support
Mealtime and routine participation
Community readiness
Parent coaching and collaboration
School-Based ABA
At Monarch Developmental Services, we understand that consistency across environments is essential for a child's success. In addition to our clinic-based and home-based ABA services, we collaborate with local school districts, including Glendale Unified School District, to support children within their educational settings when requested by families and approved through the appropriate processes.
Our team works closely with parents, educators, and support staff to help children navigate classroom routines, social interactions, communication challenges, and school expectations. By fostering collaboration between home, clinic, and school environments, we help ensure children receive consistent support across all areas of their development.
School-based services may focus on:
Classroom participation and engagement
Following directions and routines
Peer interactions and social skills
Communication support
Transitions throughout the school day
Independence and self-advocacy skills
Collaboration with teachers and educational teams
