Applied behavioral analysis (ABA)

Applied behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a science-based intervention directed at understanding and changing behavior. ABA is used to increase helpful behaviors and decrease harmful or maladaptive behaviors. Some examples of how ABA is used to promote more adaptive behaviors include: increasing communication, building adaptive skills such as independent eating, improving social skills, among other behaviors. ABA is used with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. It is usually adapted to meet the needs of each unique child.

Child developmental services & Respite services

Floor time is a child-led intervention provided to children with disabilities “on the floor” to help the child master various developmental milestones and skills.

Respite services are a short term, temporary support service provided to children with disabilities to offer parents or primary caregivers a break from routine childcare. Monarch center provides in-home respite services for children who qualify for this service.

These services are provided by your local regional center and authorized hours vary on a case by case basis.
