The evaluation process
Step 1:
Referral question and Interview ➔
Connection & Interview
The evaluation process often begins with the “referral question” or concerns parents have about their child’s development. Once this is discussed, the next step includes an in-depth interview discussing the child’s developmental, social, educational and medical history.
Step 2:
Observation & Testing ➔
Observation & Testing
Following the interview, there are typically several days of observation and direct testing assessing various areas of the child’s functioning.
Step 3:
Feedback
Feedback session
The feedback session usually takes upon completion of the testing process where we discuss the results of the assessment. We offer in-person or remote feedback sessions that includes a comprehensive report of the findings as well as recommendations.
